Emerging
Mark and I got our second shot of the Pfizer vaccine last week, and we are already thinking about where to go to dinner to celebrate when we emerge from our pandemic shell next week. It feels appropriate to emerge now in the spring as everything seems to be reawakening. We hope that all of you are starting to feel that spring is in the air.
Recently Mark has been busy on dinnerware projects and I have been busy on a book project with some of my former business colleagues. Now that it is time to emerge, we have been thinking about getting people back into the gallery when they comfortable doing so. We’ve missed seeing many of you this past year, especially on our second anniversary of opening the gallery.
One thing we’d like to do is revitalize Walk on White, traditionally held on the third Thursday of every month, but suspended during the pandemic. We talked to a few other participating entities and sent out a survey earlier this month. Many of you responded and gave us fantastic feedback, for which we are very grateful.
The survey results suggest that about 50% of you would feel comfortable to attend Walk on White starting this summer, and an additional 35% would feel comfortable starting this fall. There were also lots of great suggestions dealing with COVID-19 safety precautions, additional participants, wine & food, demos & displays, music, and advertising. We’ll take all of this into account as we work with the participating entities to renew Walk on White.
We’re looking forward to seeing everyone again soon!
