Stepping out into sea spray (Ballerina)
Stepping out into sea spray (Ballerina)
Photographic print on aluminum
Stepping out into sea spray (Ballerina) was taken at Fort Zachary Taylor State Park in Key West. It was a magical moment when a wave hit the rocks and a snowy egret I was watching took off into the sea spray. The bird’s grace combined with the sea spray to create an inspirational image of peace and beauty. This image was awarded Honorable Mention from the International Photography Awards 2020 competition, and it was chosen to be showcased in Culture Magazine 2021, published by the Florida Keys Council of the Arts. Read the story behind the photo here.
The second photo is an example of the integral frame built into the back of the aluminum print. The other photos show the size of the prints relative to a sofa that is 94” wide.
Our photographs are taken in Key West and then printed on recycled aluminum by environmentally conscious suppliers. The resulting prints have wonderful depth, light, and color. The frame built into the back of the photos gives them the appearance of floating about 3/4” off the wall. They can be wiped clean with a damp cloth. They will last 2-3 times longer than other types of prints without fading, providing decades of enjoyment.
